Claudia
I’m an A-Level English Literature tutor with a BA in English from the University of York. Most of my students come to me for help with essay structure, close analysis and timing under pressure. I’ve taught AQA and Edexcel for several years, and I especially like working on unseen poetry because that’s often where marks get left behind. I’m big on reading the wording of the question properly and building arguments that actually stay on track.

Brayden
Hi, I’m a literature tutor and former sixth form mentor with a degree from Durham. I teach A-Level English Literature only, mainly OCR and AQA, and a lot of my work is with students who know the texts but struggle to turn ideas into high-grade essays. I love teaching drama, especially Shakespeare and modern tragedy. Lessons are usually quite discussion-led, then we pin everything down into paragraphs that would stand up well in exam conditions.

Amber
I read English at the University of Exeter and have been tutoring A-Level English Literature since finishing my degree. I work mostly online and usually support students with comparative essays, coursework planning and revision in the final run-up to exams. I enjoy the poetry side of the course, particularly helping students move beyond feature-spotting and write something more precise. My approach is steady, practical and shaped around the set texts in front of us.

Joshua
I teach A-Level English Literature and have an MA from King’s College London. Before tutoring full time, I worked in academic publishing, so I’m particularly good at helping students sharpen expression and write with more control. I’ve supported students across the full exam year, from first reading of a text through to timed practice papers. I’m especially interested in Victorian literature and literary criticism, which often helps stronger students push into the top bands.

Hello, I’m an A-Level English Literature tutor with a degree in English from the University of Bristol. I’ve spent the last few years working with sixth form students on coursework, exam prep and the bit in between where marks can quietly slip: interpretation. A lot of my students like the fact that I’ll stop on a single line and really unpack it. I’m particularly keen on teaching Gothic writing and poetry comparisons, which tend to come up more often than people expect.

Jackson
I’m based online and teach A-Level English Literature to students who want clear, text-focused support without loads of waffle. My degree is in English Literature from the University of Sheffield. I’ve helped students with everything from The Handmaid’s Tale to King Lear, but I probably talk most enthusiastically about modern poetry. We usually spend time on planning and rewriting weaker paragraphs, because that’s where I’ve found students make the quickest improvement.

Georgia
I’ve been tutoring A-Level English Literature alongside classroom teaching, and my degree is from the University of Warwick. I know the pace of the course well and I’m used to helping students who feel overwhelmed by the amount of reading. My lessons tend to focus on argument, use of evidence and writing with a bit more confidence under timed conditions. I particularly enjoy teaching literary movements and showing students how context can be used properly rather than bolted on.
